THERMAL BATHS

Thermal baths were born in the XV century, when patricians in this area, began to build residence and in the Euganei Hills.

The famous dramatist “Carlo Goldoni” ( born in Venice in 1707 and dead in Paris in 1793) wrote a jocose opera called “I bagni d’Albano”, slapping on ludicrous the high Venetian society because they were in sumptous villa and activities of bath in  waters in the Euganei Hills.

THE GOLF

The Padua Golf Club was funded in 1962 and is the first golf club born in the province of Padua. Was created for cheer up the tourists on passage for the research of relax in the thermal for  few days .

The field is situated in Valsanzibio (fraction of Galzignano Terme)

The itinerary drawn by an english architect John Harris is divided on 3 sections: the blue itinerary “par 36”3.001 mt, the yellow itinerary “par 36”3.046 and the red itinerary “par 36” 3.049 mt. The field expand for 70 hectare,characterized by a dence vegetation with water mirrors and sand obstacles distribuited around the itinerary. The golf club was constituited of 18 pits par 72  but since 2003 was incluted 9 pits, these one permit a variation on preordained legworks.

The practice field is supplied of driving range: 8+2 cover position, balconies of flip on 3 levels, target green in different distances, wide putting range and putting green of 18 pits for the putt practice ( you have to fetch in the pits the ball);there is the practice area for the short game with 2 bunkers ( a sand bank of little dimentions), chip & pitch range until 40 meters and 4 target for approaches which permitted the training in different situations and complexity levels.
